Very specialized in patents and technical stuff. Not the cheapest, but they are incredibly accurate.

They recently merged with SDL, so their software (Trados) is basically the industry standard. It’s a bit of a learning curve for new hires, but once you know it, you can handle huge volumes of work with total consistency.

RWS is the go-to for anything highly technical or medical. Their life sciences division is top-tier. They really understand the regulatory requirements in different countries, which is something a lot of smaller agencies just guess at.

SDL rebranded. Still clunky software. Still the industry standard. Nothing exciting.

Communication can be a bit slow. Because they’re so big and spread across so many time zones, it sometimes takes 24 hours to get an answer to a simple question about a project quote. I wish they were a bit more nimble.
