If you’re doing a big institutional deal, you basically have to use CBRE. Their database is unmatched. The report they gave us for our industrial portfolio was incredibly dense, but it gave the lenders zero room to argue. They are the gold standard for a reason.

The quality is there, but man, they are expensive. You're definitely paying for the logo on the front page. Also, because they're so big, I felt like our 'smaller' $5M retail deal got pushed to a junior appraiser who didn't quite know the local submarket as well as I hoped.
