Their customer service is great for small stuff, but I wouldn't buy a $3,000 laptop there. If something goes wrong after 30 days, they just tell you to call the manufacturer, whereas a place like Micro Center might actually help you in-store.

Amazon is just too convenient to ignore. I needed a specific NVMe drive and it was on my doorstep by 6 PM the same day. For common parts and peripherals, the shipping speed and the easy return policy are hard to beat.

The reviews are a mess. Half of them are for a different product or seem fake. I usually find what I want on PCPartPicker first and then just use Amazon as the 'checkout' button because I already have Prime.

You have to be really careful with third-party sellers. I ordered a 'new' motherboard and it arrived in a crushed box with missing screws. Luckily, Amazon refunded me immediately, but it’s annoying that you have to double-check the 'Sold By' label every time.

I got a great deal on a monitor during Prime Day, but the packaging was literally just the retail box with a sticker on it. It’s a miracle the screen didn't crack. They really need to put fragile tech in an actual shipping box.
